New York natives Jillian Hervey and Lucas Goodman have just carved a special place in my heart, they go by the group name Lion Babe. If you’re a lover of R&B like myself, you should be over the moon excited for these two. I guess the best way to describe their sound is like an electric sonic new soul sound. It’s a mini throw back to the Jill Scotts, Erykah Badu’s and the Groove Theory mixed with new beats and a new direction of sound.
Their EP dropped at the closing of 2014 and has been continually getting more radio play. They worked with producers like Jeff Bhasker, Andrew Wyatt and Pharrell Williams. Their first single “Jump Hi” is a bob your head kinda record which features a collabo with Childish Gambino.
